What To Do With Your Artificial Christmas Wreaths?

Oct 28,2022 / News

Take to the recycling center

Your local recycling center may take your Artificial Christmas Wreaths. It's important to call the center ahead of time to make sure they do take the used garland. You will also need to remove all decorations such as lamps, ornaments, garlands, pine cones, berries, or any other decorations. You should also note that you should not keep garlands in the bag and that garlands that have been painted or sprayed should be thrown away.

Reuse garlands for new decorations

Wreaths are great for craft projects, especially school or church groups, or other groups like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Not only can you use these branches for new outdoor decor, but you can also use some of these branches to create potpourri. You can also reuse the wreath's wiring for a variety of different projects, such as paper pulp, hangers for bird feeders, or other things.

For mulch or compost

If you have a garden or you've considered starting one, your Christmas wreath can come in handy. You can chop up needles and branches to make mulch. Another idea is to strip all the needles and sprinkle them on muddy paths in the garden. Some people are concerned that the needles will add too much acid to the soil, but once the needles are removed from the rosette, they will have very little acidity and will not adversely affect the pH of the soil.
